Dear Reader just arrived back from what sounds to be a super good trip throughout Europe and they just sent me these 2 scans of our head photographer, marcus maschwtiz, that have been published in Les Inrocks Magazine. These are them.
Marcus will be shooting with Dear Reader one more time before hitting the UK, so watch this space!

today is a super exciting day for us as the music video for zebra and giraffes 3rd single, oxymoron, is released. the video was created by myself, alan shenton and greg (band creator and frontman).
basically the video was photographed by marcus maschwitz at 5 and 10 frames per second using the nikon d3 dslr and then the 39 000+ photographs were narrowed down and about 15 000 of them were individually graded and then edited at melon videos (our sister company in south africa) resulting in a full hd music video with a "jolty" feel to match the song.

We have received some amazing feedback for the Zebra and Giraffe - Oxymoron music video that we created and I thought that I would post the video up for you have a look at. we have been working hard for the last few weeks on the new website for revolution which was a super experience. we created it in a way that the client can log into the backend and post articles / news by themselves so that the site is constantly kept up to date. the site went live last night and it is good to see that the team at revolution have already posted a bunch of interesting articles.
revolution, actually [r]evolution, is a south african based skateboard company that focuses on the entire lifestyle of skateboarding and pushes the art and music side in such a big and different way. it's amazing for us when people think out of the box and support the people really involved in the scene.
we are truly proud to be involved in the [r]evolution and are excite for another 6 years working together. below are a few screen grabs of the site home page as well as family and product pages.
yesterday the melon group directed, filmed and photographed the new zebra and giraffe music video for their new single, oxymoron.
we have worked with the band a lot and we really like what they are doing both musically and professionally so it was an amazing that they commissioned us for this.
the next step is for us to work on the grading and edit of the video which is going to take some time but we will definitely post something about it when it is finished. for now, enjoy the photographs below that we photographed as portraits during scene change.

finally, the time has arrived and our website has been finished and uploaded to our live server.

today we begin working on
the studio melon limited website which has been
delayed constantly because of the busy times here
and our dedication to our clients work. we want
to thank you all for being so patient while we
set up this project and for your support. we shouldn't

ok, so things here have been
really busy but we have been having fun which
is always a good thing.
today we launched the new
kfd
skateboards website which is fully dynamic
so that our client can update the site as they
wish without any backend coding knowledge. we
love the site and know that the hard work on this
is going to make this site work really well for
our client. being a skateboarder for many years
and a supporter of kfd
since the day they opened, i am so proud to have
been trusted with this task.
in addition to the website,
we developed and customized a youtube channel
and myspace page for them.

so after many attempts and
much research, we have received confirmation that
our registration for studio melon limited as a
company has been successful and now we can offer
our services in the united kingdom. it is something
that we still have a lot of work to do for but
it is something that excites us more than can
be imagined. our domains are registered and we
are working full speed to get our ideas onto actual
paper.
either way we want to confirm
that melon graphics south africa will be in london
and europe at the end of the year and we are excited
to be able to offer you the service that our african
clients have come to know and love.
